18th Annual Winter Wimp

Saturday, January 10, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. Snow or Shine!

  • Hagaman, N.Y. (Just north of Amsterdam)
  • 2.2 or 4.4 miles (one or two loops).
  • Day-of-race registration at Hagaman Civic Center, N. Pawling St., Hagaman, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Entry fee: Before 1/7/04: $12 for FMRRC members; $15 for non-members. (See elsewhere on site for membership application.)After 1/7/04 and day of race: $16 for all. (A portion of the entry fee goes to the James R. Dern Memorial Scholarship Fund.)
  • Quality long-sleeve windshirts to first 100 registered runners.
  • Hot and cold refreshments following the race.
  • Awards to first three finishers, male and female, in 4.4-mile race and 2.2-mile "Wimp-Out" (one loop), and to top three, male and female, in 4.4 miler in following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. No duplication.

    I know that running races is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running in the race including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my application, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Road Runners Club of America, the Fulmont Roadrunners Club, the Village of Hagaman, N.Y., and all sponsors, their representatives, and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in the race even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.
