Adopted Highway Cleanup. A dozen club members turned out for the Fall-2009 cleanup of our adopted highway—Amsterdam’s Maple Avenue Extension—and a substantial mound of garbage was the result. Most who took part stayed around for the post-cleanup refueling at the Windmill Diner, and one of the diner’s friendly waitresses captured a photo. Pictured (from left) are Billy Platt, Bill Platt, Joyce Poulin, Tom Constantine, Jane Constantine, Bill Austin, Lorrie Sargalis, Jake Smith and Diane Hanson.  Rich Marrero and Laura and Jim Burroughs also took part in the October 3 event, but weren’t able to join the group for breakfast.
