The Fulmont Roadrunners Club is a not-for-profit organization that
promotes running and other physical, recreational activities for people
of all ages throughout Fulton and Montgomery Counties. In addition to
sponsoring its own running races, the club provides technical
assistance and otherwise supports other groups with their races. It
makes a major effort to encourage and reward the participation in the
sport of youthful runners.
Membership in the
club is open to all. Click here for

Eight good reasons
to become a member:
- Ten issues of the
club’s award-winning newsletter, the Finish
Line.
- Opportunity to
participate at no charge in the club’s Mileage
Challenge. Progress reports are published quarterly, and a certificate
of achievement is awarded at the end of the year to all who complete
their challenges. When members accumulate 5,000 miles, they receive a
"5,000-Mile Club" jacket free of charge.
- Automatic
enrollment in the FMRRC Grand Prix Race Series. The series
consists of ten races, ranging from 5Ks to the marathon distance, in
and around the New York Capital Region. Awards are presented to the top
three male and female club members in seven age divisions, and the man
and woman who accumulate the most total points win special prizes.
- Discounts on entry
fee for the club’s Mule Haul and Winter
Wimp, and on certain other races in the Grand Prix series.
- Automatic
membership in the Road Runners Club of America and free
subscription to its quarterly publication,
Footnotes (click
to open).
- Eligibility for the club’s
Rookie of the Year, Comeback of
the Year, Special Achievement, President’s, and Volunteer of
the Year awards. These awards are presented at the annual "Pizza Bash"
awards banquet, a yearly get-together for all members and their
families that’s subsidized by the club.
- Club recreational runs on Saturday
mornings throughout the year and on
weekday evenings (track workouts) during the summer.
- Right to attend monthly business
meetings, hold office in the club, and
participate in special activities.
